Dear Mrs Barrett,

I am writing in response to the advertisement you posted recently, looking for someone to help you around the house.

I used to work for an elderly in my neighborhood who needed help with her house and front yard. I trimmed the bushes and watered them on a regular basis as well as cleaning and dusting the house weekly. I think I am seasoned enough to handle your garden and you can fully trust me with cleanliness of your house.

The money I receive in return for the service I provide is going to help me cover the costs of my university program. I have recently started my tertiary education program where I will hopefully turn into a financial advisor.

I will have a fairly light schedule during the summer. Aside from two voluntary ‘financial literacy’ courses I picked during that time, I have not much to do during the day, so I can be available most of the time. However, the best time for me is in the early afternoon, around 2.30 pm. I should leave at 7 as the last bus to my dormitory leaves at 8.
